Movement and body awareness Laboratory for adults
(parents, students, teachers, non-professional dancers, etc.)

In this movement and dance lab, subtle and refined listening to the body will be the foundation of the working process. We will set out to discover ourselves by exploring and identifying body sensations, in order to express ourselves in an artistic and free way. This exploration also involves developing sensitivity toward others and toward the group as a whole, fostering interaction and shared experience.
Through improvisation, choreography and composition games and exercises we will work on various aspects such as the notion of body center and weight, gaze, space, spatial awareness in contact with others, movement quality, touch and directions.

Music and attentive listening to it will be fundamental elements of this class. Through its melodies, dynamics, phrasing, rhythms, and accents, music becomes the main impulse for movement, generating a wide range of qualities and sensations in our dance. Combined with the inspiration of the group, this process will allow us to broaden our field of imagination and expression.

Throughout the lab, participants will be introduced to technical tools drawn from contemporary dance. These elements will help us gain better control of our bodies, in order to give them greater freedom over time. The techniques shared can be applied to many types of movement practice, they facilitate everyday gestures and enhance responsiveness and physical availability.

The laboratory is conceived as a non-judgmental safe space, encouraging the participants to step out of their comfort zone and take physical risks that lead to new and joyful experiences.

It is open to anyone who wishes to give space to their creativity and aims to deepen their body awareness.

My intention is to share tools and games in a joyful setting, for a deeper understanding of the body and for developing personal confidence. In this way I wish to support a sense of ease, calm and authenticity with oneself and with others.
The laboratory is driven by my desire to honor the expression of each individual personality and to create a space where we can exchange and share lived experiences through dance within the group.
